The Health Scientist provides scientific and technical support for health-related research, programs, and initiatives. Responsibilities include analyzing and interpreting scientific data, supporting research and program activities, preparing technical documentation, and collaborating with project teams and stakeholders to meet program objectives while ensuring compliance with applicable federal requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- a. Experience conducting a national assessment of a program or project’s inputs, activities, and outputs to determine its value or worth and to improve the program. b. Experience developing an evaluation plan, identifying evaluation questions and indicators, collecting, and analyzing quantitative and qualitative program data, interpreting the data in the context of the program, and reporting findings. c. Experience developing a large-scale program logic model, identifying appropriate program outcomes, facilitating internal and external partner meetings, and providing assistance or training on evaluation, methods, concepts, and tools. d. Experience designing and conducting implementation research, including assessing fidelity, adaptions, reach, and other contextual factors. e. Knowledge of the rules, procedures and principles that govern intramural and extramural program development, monitoring, and evaluation. f. Ability to use Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Teams, and SharePoint) efficiently and effectively. g. Ability to use and manage Administrative Systems (HUMAN SUBJECTS, OMB AND IRB, and E-Clearance) efficiently and effectively. h. Previous experience working with the government procedures and guidelines.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Masters degree in chemistry or related field is required, and a minimum of five (10) years of laboratory, field sampling/monitoring, data review or other relevant experience.
