Position SummaryThe SAP Functional Consultant – Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) supports the design, configuration, implementation, testing, and sustainment of SAP S/4HANA Environment, Health & Safety Management (EHSM) capabilities within the Joint Transportation Management System (JTMS) program. This position partners with functional leads, business process owners, developers, and government stakeholders to modernize DoD environmental compliance, occupational health, industrial hygiene, and hazardous/dangerous goods management processes while ensuring alignment with federal, DoD, and international regulatory requirements.
This is a remote position with periodic travel required to program sites for workshops, testing events, stakeholder engagement, and deployment support.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure and support SAP S/4HANA Environment, Health & Safety Management (EHSM) functionality, including incident management, risk assessment, industrial hygiene and occupational health, product and regulatory compliance, and hazardous substance management.
- Analyze customer business requirements and translate them into functional designs, system configurations, and technical specifications.
- Support end-to-end business process integration across SAP modules including:
◦Materials Management (MM)
◦Transportation Management (TM)
◦Quality Management (QM)
◦Human Resources / Human Capital Management (HR/HCM)
- Configure and maintain Dangerous Goods Management functionality supporting compliant packaging, labeling, and shipping of hazardous materials across DoD and commercial transportation modes.
