Syscon, Inc. is looking for an Assistant Controller who is humble, hungry, and smart. This person will step into an important accounting role, learn our business, master our internal processes, and grow into the Controller seat within one year.
This is not a role for someone who wants to come in and immediately change everything. It is a role for someone who can learn quickly, take direction well, pay close attention to details, and earn trust through accuracy, follow through, and sound judgment.

- 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience
- A BA or BS in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Strong accrual accounting experience
- Experience with financial reporting, reconciliations, budgeting, and forecasting
- Understanding of income statements, balance sheets, cash flow, and indirect cost allocation
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Ability to work through detailed financial information with accuracy
- Comfort taking direction, asking questions, and learning established processes
