Establishing a Safety Management System (SMS), which includes the establishment and maintenance of a series of standard safety enterprise process models. From internal audit to safety risk, information, compliance, and safety culture management, the use of enterprise architecture/business process management of the SMS is a key means by which we standardize the business of managing safety. This position will have the overall responsibility of managing the Document Management System, which is the means by which the business of managing safety is standardized through company-level policies, standards manuals, and task-level standard operating procedures. The Manager of Safety Management System currently has the sole responsibility to design, implement, and maintain the instance of AODocs Document Management System, expand usage of the platform across the company, and manage, prioritize, and design requests for system modifications, templates, and new user adoption. This is in addition to other core duties, including the design and implementation of other broad safety management capabilities, such as internal audit, safety risk management, and safety culture management. If this position is not filled, the adoption of the document management system will be delayed due to competing priorities, leading to under-utilization of the software platform, wasted expense, and increased safety liability for documents that should be controlled but have yet to be migrated.
