Haven Demo’s 2025 success made Vast the only operational commercial space station company to fly and operate its own spacecraft. Next, Haven-1 is expected to become the world’s first commercial space station when it launches, followed by additional Haven modules to enable permanent human presence by 2030. Vast offers an advanced internship program with hands-on opportunities to design and build space hardware and software. You will play a crucial role in the development and build of the systems that will be required for the operation of artificial-gravity human-rated space stations.
Our interns are mentored by industry experts to solve challenging real-world engineering problems across our hiring teams. This is a 12 week internship at our office in Long Beach, CA.
Responsibilities will vary depending on each intern’s area of expertise. We are currently looking for candidates with experience in the the following engineering disciplines:
- Tooling
Minimum Qualifications:
- Qualified candidates must be enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master’s degree program from an accredited college or university in manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering or other related engineering discipline.
- Ability to work full-time onsite in Long Beach, CA.
